Another package arrived from Hong Kong. A big grin welcomes the package – of course.

I bought a flash and 135mm film adaptor for my Holga 120N. For a cost around USD 30 (including shipping), it’s worth it – considering there are no 120 film available in all photo shops in Labuan. My next purchase will includes a box of 120mm film.

I like the humming sound the flash produces. The ready lamp indicates if the flash fully charged to trigger a flash – of course. It needs one AA battery to operate it.

The Exposure table at the back is really helpful. The horizontal column shows distances in feet and meters. The vertical column specifies film speeds in ISO standard.

The 135mm film adapter has a track set to direct the film straight. It’s useful to avoid the film from moving up and down. But I didn’t take off the rubber band to keep the film winding up straight.

This is how it looks like.

The package includes a back cover without the film counter window. It works to avoid lights leakage.

According to the manual, after every shot, wind up the Film Advance Knob about 24 clicks. From what I learned on the internet, some peoples recommended 34. So, I decided to mark the wasted film to mark where about the 24 and 34 clicks ended. It doesn’t create much difference, except for the interval that might separate one picture from another.

This is going to be fun!!!!

Cute.. Nice!!
Thanks Japrin!
will the vignettes of holga still appear if you use the 135 adaptor?
Nope, there’s no visible vignettes if you’re using the 135 adaptor (based on my experience).
Perhaps you really need a 120 format film to get the vignetting.
there’s another panoramic adapter to get the vignettes efx but u can only take 24shots than the normal 36shots. Btw i think the flash and the adapter u got there quite exp, perhaps is the shipping because u can get both of it in Singapore for like around rm96, of course not including the shipping
my advise, get a Holga 135
lessen ur trouble when u wana get in a 35mm film. Btw, I’m from Labuan too! >..<
Nice purchases. I found that same 135mm adaptor at a camera shop and bought it this morning. I hope this is the same adaptor that allows exposure to the sprocket edges of the film. The shop was also selling other non-lomography-branded accessories like a fisheye adaptor and a holgon flash. Post yer shots soon!

hello. im interested to buy holga. but some people say its not worth it to buy those kind of camera because its just a toy.as u user, what do you think about holga and whats the best holga that you can suggest for a first time buyer/user.
hey i have the adapter and used it on the holga 120 but i only got 20 shots. is that normal? i was expecting 36 shots haha. i wound it one and a half rounds each time i took, about 36 clicks i think cos that what the manual said.
hey, mind if i ask where u bought ur holga? perhaps the website?
nn : try Holga 120n. It’s really a fun camera because you will work hard to use it.
plasticcup : remember, you have to insert the film to the winder by yourself – so I guess it’s prety normal to get 20 shots instead of 36. Either you insert too much or you wind the film too much. Normally I wind 1 round only.

hi im interested where in hong kong are you ordering your packages? is there any shop in hongkong where i can buy lomo films and accesories?
Just bought a Holga 120N from Ebay, starting to get unsure if I’ll ever get it sent home to my house… Bought filters and a double filter holder as well and at least these items have arrived.
Anyway, the Holga 120N looks awesome! Are you happy with it? And would you recommend the hot shoe flash?
